Job description

Job duties include the following, but is not limited to:
Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops.
Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to a tractor.
Till soil, plant and cultivate grain.
Tow harvesting equipment.
Drive and operate self-propelled combine.
General lubrication, service (check fluids) and mechanical repair to farm machinery.

Crops: corn, soybeans

Equipment that will be used on the farm are the following: tractor, grain cart, hay baler, row crop tilling equipment (pulled behind a tractor), mowers (riding and pull type) and grain leg and unloading conveyors.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months verifiable experience is required.
Must be able to obtain drivers license 30-90 days from hire.
Job duties require physical and manual labor and workers will be required to push, pull, sit and walk extensively, frequent bending over or stooping. Workers will be required to be able to lift and carry tools and agricultural equipment that weigh up to 50 lbs.
Work is performed mostly outdoors and workers will be exposed to warm to extremely hot temperatures and humid conditions.
Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
