Job description
We are a dryland farming operation. We raise wheat, millet, corn and sorghum. We run farming operations from March until December as the weather permits. Job duties will include operating equipment such as tractors, combines, grain carts, sprayers, hay rakes, balers and farm trucks. We run 2 wheel and 4-wheel drive tractors. We use John Deere Greenstar monitors in our equipment, so a knowledge of GPS technology would be helpful. Employees will need to assist with all areas of the farm, planting, tilling, spraying, fertilizing and harvesting. Employees will help with general maintenance, oil changes, blowing out filters, fixing tires, greasing equipment and general repairs. Employees will help with other farm duties such as mowing, fixing fences, cleaning and repairs . Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
Special Requirements
Job requires exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures, extensive pushing or pulling, extensive sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over, repetitive movements. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. Must have a regular driver's license. Requires 2 months farm experience.
