Job description

Job requires the operation of farm equipment including, but not limited to, compact tractors, skid loaders, and pickup trucks to till soil and prepare and maintain land. Workers will be required to perform duties regarding raising pheasants and pheasant care equipment such as, but not limited to, maintaining and repairing pheasant heaters, water systems, and flyway nets; performing repair on and maintaining pheasant building; using power washers to clean the interior and exterior of farm structures; feeding and watering pheasants daily; preparing and repairing pheasant crates; cleaning and maintaining pheasant building and farm shop areas; checking pheasants to ensure proper pheasant health; catching pheasants; and loading pheasants into crates and delivering pheasants to buyers. Workers will only take pheasants to delivery points and return to the worksite. Overnight trips will not be required. Workers will also be required to remove snow from worksite areas when necessary. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.

Special Requirements

Basic English literacy and math skills are required. Job requires having or being able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Workers will be required to work outdoors during varying weather conditions and may require workers to be exposed to temperatures that exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Job duties may require periods when workers are required to or will be exposed to pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, stooping, bending over, or performing repetitive movements for extended periods of time.
