Job description

Loading and unloading grain and fertilizer trucks, loading and unloading rail cars, cleaning out grain bins, helping the other employees with general maintenance (Greasing equipment, maintaining elevator and fertilizer equipment), helping get mobile equipment, field ready for spring. If applicant has a COL, delivering fertilizer to area fields with a truck, delivering grain to processing plants with a truck. If applicant has a lot of experience operating large farm equipment, would possibly operate our mobile commercial fertilizer spreaders on area fields, in the spring. Cleaning up around the facilities, Sweeping, shoveling grain and fertilizer. Getting empty rail cars ready for grain loading, open top hatches, close bottom slides of the rail cars. In the winter, helping to move snow, with a skid steer or a mini pay loader. Fill fertilizer bins, in the spring, with a mini pay loader. Assist the other employees with repair work, on the trucks, and grain elevator and fertilizer plant. Lifting up to 100 lbs.

Special Requirements

Minimum of (3) months experience required. To comply with Federal, State and County regulations must be willing to obtain an appropriate driver's license (class D) within two months of employment. If applicant does have a license, applicant must furnish employer with current drivers abstract showing acceptable driving record. No high school diploma/GED required.
