Job description

We need a seasonal employee to assist with harvesting sorghum feed and assist with our calving season. We confine our cows for calving in February, which means they are brought from pastures and put in pens. While in pens they need to be fed and cared for daily. During the calving season from February until May the employee will need to assist with birthing and deliveries, vaccinations, and caring for the cattle during this period. After May cattle are turned into pasture and no feeding or care is needed. Employee will then start with planting and harvesting sorghum until December. Employee will need to operate farm equipment to plant, harvest and haul the crop from the field to storage. Employee will need to spread manure on field as fertilizer. After December we do not need any further assistance until the next year.

Special Requirements

Employee must have a regular drivers license and 3 months experience.

Did you know that... there are 2 types of H-2 visas?

Agricultural workers get H-2A visas. H-2B workers are in non-agricultural jobs like construction.
