Job description

Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, handtrucks,
forklifts, or transfer augers. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment
malfunctions. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery.
Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and
balers. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery
malfunctions. Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors,
using bolts and hand tools. Direct and monitor the activities of work crews engaged in
harvesting activities. Weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying
information. Drive trucks to haul bales of hay from farm to barn. Drive and operate farm
machinery to harvest and store crops. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate
self-propelled combine. Use GPS auto-steer systems.

Employers will provide handheld radios free of charge in each vehicle the workers will use for the entire duration of the contract period. These radios can contact supervisors or emergency services

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within
30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to
extreme temperatures. Extensive sitting is required. Overtime and taking holiday is mandatory.
