Key Responsibilities:
Plant, cultivate, harvest, wash and pack organic Japanese vegetables in accordance with customer specifications, relaying on knowledge on Japanese organic vegetables. Confer with Farm Manager in planning custom Japanese organic vegetable growing and harvest schedule based on customer specifications. Sell products to clients, including interface with customers to obtain orders and specifications of specialty crops. Communicate with other workers regarding size and quality of specialty crops to fill specific custom orders. Evaluate quality of plants or crop and fill orders based on knowledge of Japanese organic products. Provide information and advice to customers regarding the selection, purchase, and use of crops, including communicating with clients to fill orders and find substitutions when there is shortage of specific produce items.

Special Requirements

3 months of experience in organic farming is required. Specific requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds frequently. Must present strong knowledge of Japanese vegetables and their uses in traditional Japanese cuisine. Must be an individual who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, maintains a positive attitude, has strong interpersonal skills, and a strong work ethic.
