Job description
This application is for agricultural equipment operators and covers: the production of watermelons, onions, asparagus, beans, corn, sugar beets, mint and row crops.
Workers will drive and control farm equipment to plant, grow, and harvest crops.
Agricultural equipment operation tasks:
1. Operate or care for equipment used in agricultural production and field preparation, such as tractors, irrigation equipment, and other equipment commonly used in agriculture.
2. Adjust, repair and service farm machinery.
3. Observe and listen to the operation of machinery to detect malfunctions in the equipment.
4. You will operate tractors to work and plow the soil and move containers in and out of the fields.
5. Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungi and weeds, and diseases using tractors or hand sprayers.
6. Load and drive vehicles and equipment to transport crops, supplies, tools and workers between worksites.
During harvest, workers will drive harvest vehicles.

Special Requirements
The lifting requirement is 60 pounds. For anything over 60 pounds, the worker can ask for help lifting objects.
Workers must possess the physical strength and stamina necessary to repeat the harvesting process throughout the workday.
Workers must work at a sustained and vigorous pace and make good faith efforts to work efficiently and consistently that are reasonable under the weather and all other working conditions.
Workers may never ride on agricultural equipment not designed for work-related driving purposes or any other equipment intended for non-passengers unless directed and authorized by the employer or supervisor.
If light duty is assigned for a worker's compensation injury, the worker is expected to return to work and perform the light work upon the advice of a doctor and the worker's compensation insurance company.
