Job description

Operation and maintenance of large farm equipment, such as tractors and irrigation systems. In addition, the following tasks must be performed throughout the wheat, cotton and peanut seasons to ensure healthy and abundant crops:

Operating and maintaining farm equipment, including tractors and irrigation systems.
Preparing fields for planting by tilling soil and planting seeds (cultivation).
Monitor and control pests and weeds; apply pesticides and fertilizers.
Inspect, grade, sort and store crops after harvest.

The tasks above are completed by using farm implements that attach to the tractors, including plows, cultivators, planters, seed drills, air seeders, weeders, chemical sprayers, and processing (sorting, grading, drying and packaging) machinery.
