Job description
Duties include operating farm equipment, such as tractors, tractor-drawn machinery to plow, harrow, fertilize soil, seed, and apply pesticides and herbicides to fertilized crops. Required to operate harvesting equipment, such as combines, grain carts, and tender trucks to harvest and grains, soybeans, corn, sunflowers, and canola. Workers will be exposed to extreme heat and cold, dust, rain, and other environmental conditions common in crops and fields. The job entails working with farm machinery outdoors in all types of weather and occasional exposure to poisonous insects and snakes.Crops: Beans, Canola, Corn, Grain, Soy Beans, Sunflower, Wheat
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
