Job description

Daily maintence of equipment: Greasing equipment, checking air pressure in tires, checking oil
and coolant, Stacking sod, walking behind sod cutter, stacking sod tubes, irrigating sod with
poly pipe. Laying sod by hand in strenuous weather conditions, manually removing weeds from
sod, manually sprigging/planting sod by hand. Stacking sod by hand onto pallets and also
trailer trucks for transportation. Must know how to operate trailer truck, tractor, skid steer, side
by side, manual transmission pickup. Manually applying square bales of hay to erosion areas.
Must be able to operate power tools such as drills, leaf blower, air compressor, grinders, and
saws weed eater, chain saw, and pole saw. Workers will be required to use manual equipment
such as shovels, hoes, post hole diggers. All work will be done regardless of the extreme work
conditions (hot or cold) (wet or dry). Handling seed during planting time using five gallon
buckets to the planter. hand picking corn during harvest time.
