Job description
Perform Duties such as driving and operating tractors with towed implements for planting crops and grains such as alfalfa, oats, and corn for
cattle feed. Workers will drive tractors and operate designated equipment to cut/ rake/bale forage, alfalfa, and hay grasses feed for the animals.
All bales will have to move back to the ranch for the winter months' food supply. Workers will help with the calving of the herd and care for newborns. They will help with vaccinating the cattle, calves will be branded and cow /calf pairs will be moved to the
pastures for the summer months. A weekly route will be done to check each pasture and deliver minerals and feed
supplements. Maintenance will need to be done on all equipment, buildings, structures, and grounds. Must be
able to work independently after given instructions and be able to tolerate heat conditions. gates and corrals will need to be maintained.
Employees must have a valid driver's license or be capable of obtaining one in 30 days.
Cell phone usage is limited to business-related calls of the operation only.
NO TEXTING. No smoking in equipment, vehicles, fields, or housing units. Drinking of alcoholic beverages is
prohibited during working hours and otherwise discouraged.
No Educational level is required.
Must have three months of tractor driving with towed implements and operate computerized feeder wagons with weight scales and monitors for feeding cattle.
Cattle experience is necessary.
