General Farm Worker

Job description

Drives and operates farm machinery such as tractors and combines to perform farm activities such as planting, cultivation, and harvesting of crops and grains such as certified seed potatoes, wheat, soybeans, pinto, and black beans. The workers will drive tractors and operate designated towing equipment, drills, disks, and drags to furrow and prepare the soil, seed, and fertilize.
Routine maintenance will need to be done on equipment, buildings, and grounds. Harvest starts in August, workers will operate Combines, grain carts, and trucks to haul crops to storage locations on the farm. All crops and locations are owned by Mitchell Jorde. There will be no commercial hauling and no CDL required.

Employees must have a valid driver's license or be capable of obtaining one in 30 days.
Cell phone usage is limited to business-related calls only.
NO TEXTING, No Educational level is required must be able to lift 50 pounds.
3 months of tractor driving with towed implements equipped with computerized monitors.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English for Safety instructions and record keeping.

Special Requirements

Required current driver's license or capable of obtaining one in 30 days.
Workers must have three months tractor driving with computerized monitors experience.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Speak, read, write and understand English language for record keeping and safety reasons.
