Job description
On farms, workers will assist in all aspects of crop production, including the planting and harvesting of crops such as corn and soybeans. Employees will drive and operate harvesting machinery or custom cutting machinery to harvest crops from fields. Adjust speeds of cutters, blowers, and conveyors, and weight of cutting head using hand tools. Change cutting head as appropriate for crop. After harvest of crops, employees will transport produce to elevator or storage areas. Drive transporter trucks to haul harvesting machinery between work sites. Duties include servicing machinery and conducting incidental in-field repairs.
Special Requirements
Extensive pushing, pulling and sitting. Exposure to extreme temperatures. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. Minimum of three (3) months experience required. Must be able to obtain a CDL within 30-90 days of hire. No minimum education required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
