Job description
The workers will be operating heavy equipment such as excavators, soil compactors, bulldozers, backhoes, skid steers, and shovels. Responsibilities include operating farm equipment, and driving tractors, semis, and pickup trucks. Workers will be hauling equipment and grain with semis and dump trucks in addition to doing general manual labor such as leveling dirt, rock, and sand.
Three (3) months of agricultural experience required. A CDL license or the ability to obtain one is preferred, but not required. Must be able to run GPS dirt equipment and tractors. Ability to drive a vehicle and/or pickup truck. Basic mechanical skillset required. Training is provided for tasks that are new to employees.
Special Requirements
To ensure safety on the job, the employer may conduct post-employment drug testing following any accident, reasonable suspicion, or random testing if needed. Further, please note that equipment handling is safety-sensitive, and the equipment is usually expensive. The employer reserves the right to conduct a background check post-hire at the employers expense IF the employer deems it necessary. Additionally, the Employer wishes to clarify that the employer will only conduct post-hire drug tests, as deemed necessary by the employer expense and as legally permissible.
