Job description
Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment; prepare site for landscape installation by moving dirt, marking beds and mixing soil; plant the root ball for small trees using a spade and dig up and transplant trees and other landscaping with a spade or small shovel. Lay sod, mow, trim, pruning, weeding, watering, core aerating; dig holes with shovel, these holes can be up to 24 inches depth and 36 inches in width. Rake, blow leaves, clean up; spread grass seed, fertilizer and mulch; sprinkler installation/repair, installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. Winterize Lawns by draining the sprinkler system to remove excess water, Removing fallen leaves using a standard rake or leaf blower, Prune Trees and Shrubs from the ground, fertilization of lawns and beds, add mulch and wrap plants using twine, burlap, or plastic. Maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning. May drive company vehicle to transport crews, plants, materials and tools to/from or at worksites. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to continuously bend and squat.
Employer will offer 40 hours of work per week. Normal work days are Monday - Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid break. Some overtime required. Work days and shift time may vary with weather.
$18.93/hr. Employer may increase wage based on experience, changes in market conditions, and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours per workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $28.40 per hour based on locality the work is performed and the base rate of pay offered per hour. A single workweek will be used to compute wages. Pay received weekly.
Special Requirements
Must be able to work a 5-day schedule, including weekends and holidays as required. Must be willing and able to work overtime when necessary. Applicants must complete an employment application.
