Job description
Tractor operator- tillage and mowing of ditch banks. Mechanical work consisting of general maintenance of tillage and planting equipment-changing out shovels, greasing, replacing other worn or damaged parts. Lubrication service- changing engine, transmission and final drive oil Mowing of farm yard. General farm shop maintenance, sweeping, cleaning. Pressure wash equipment Sprayer tender- Will operate 18 wheel tractor trailer hauling water and chemical to assist sprayer. Fuel truck operator- Consists of driving service truck to fuel origin and returning to farm Seed tender- pickup and deliver seed to planter operator. Lifting at least 60lbs. Safety focused. Individual must have general farm knowledge and acumen. Must take direction but be willing to work independently. Experience operating large equipment both in the field and on the road. Over the road truck experience preferred. Mechanical skills: able to work with general farm tools. Ability to effectively utilize technology such as GPS (global positioning systems).
Special Requirements
Minimum of (3) months experience required. To comply with Federal, State and County regulations must be willing to obtain an appropriate driver's license (class D) within two months of employment. If applicant does have a license, applicant must furnish employer with current drivers abstract showing acceptable driving record. No high school diploma/GED required.
