Job description
Employees will drive tractors and operate towing equipment, drills, discs, and drags to furrow and prepare the soil, seed and fertilize such as corn and millet. Crops raised for forage for the animals will need to be cut, raked and baled. Minor maintenance will need to be done on all equipment, structures and grounds. Workers to assist with maintenance on fences. Workers will help with the calving of the cattle herd and care of the animals. Employees must be able to work independently after given instructions, must be self motivated and be a team player.
Special Requirements
Employees must have a valid driver's license or be capable to obtain one in 30 days.
Cell phone usage is limited to business-related calls only. NO TEXTING.
No smoking in housing unit, machinery or vehicles. No drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours otherwise is discouraged.
No educational level is required. Cattle experience is necessary as well as fixing fencing.
Must have three months experience in tractor driving with towed implements and must be able to operate computerized scale monitors for feeding cattle.
Work is performed outdoors and workers might be exposed to extreme hot temperatures.
Job duties require workers to perform physical and manual labor. It might involve extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, and walking, frequent stooping or bending over and movements might be repetitive.
Workers will be required to lift agricultural tools and equipment that might weigh up to 60lbs.
