Agriculture Equipment Operator

Job description

Duties include driving and operating farm machinery such as tractors and combines to perform farm activities such as planting, cultivation, and harvesting of crops wheat & beans. Workers will drive tractors installed with GPS. Operate designated towing equipment, drills, disks, and drags to furrow and prepare the soil, seed and fertilize. They will haul with trucks materials, supplies or crops from fields or bin storage to designated locations of local elevators. All items haul will be the property of Lyle Shephard. There will be no commercial hauling done. Routine maintenance will be done on all equipment & grounds. Workers must be able to work independently after being given instructions and must be team players when needed.
Requirements:
- Employees have valid driver's licenses or obtain one in 30 days.

- Cell phone usage is limited to business-related calls only.
- NO TEXTING.
- No smoking in equipment, vehicles, housing or grounds.
- No drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours and otherwise discouraged.
- Must be able to read, understand, and speak English for record keeping and safety reasons.
- No Educational level is required.
Must be able to understand, speak, read and write English for safety reasons and record keeping. Must be able to communicate with owners and other employees about jobs and various tasks.
- Must have three months of tractor driving with GPS installed and farm machinery with towed implements.
