Job description
A helper roofer, also known as a roofing assistant or roofing laborer, plays a crucial role in supporting the roofing team with various tasks related to roof installation, repair, and maintenance. The specific duties include:
Material Preparation:
Assist in loading and unloading roofing materials, tools, and equipment.
Organize and transport materials to the work area.
Set up and dismantle scaffolding and ladders as needed.
Tool Assistance:
Hand tools and equipment to roofers as required.
Keep tools and equipment clean and in good condition.
Learn to properly use and handle basic roofing tools.
Site Cleanup:
Collect and dispose of debris and waste materials.
Keep the work area clean and organized.
Sweep and clean the roof surface as needed.
Safety Compliance:
Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
