Job description

Nineteen (19) Ground Person positions available for temporary full-time work beginning April 1, 2024 and continuing through December 1, 2024, with day shift of forty hours work provided weekly - Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm, at $17.41 or higher per hour, with optional overtime offered often at $26.12 or higher per hour.

No previous training or experience or education are required, nor is any on-the-job training, as clear and simple instructions are given onsite by supervising crew leaders.

Ground Person duties include ground-level pruning and trimming and hedging, all at ground level. Duties also include raking and digging and weeding and planting and watering; at times chipping too; also applying protective mulch and fertilizer; also collecting and hauling out debris, and loading/unloading crew vehicles.

Ground Persons observe for any shrub or hedge problems and inform crew leaders. The position is entry-level and non-agricultural. Ground Persons attend a daily Safety Briefing.
