Job description
Four Leaf Farms is a family-owned farm in west Texas. Our main crop is alfalfa and other hay. We also have cattle, vegetables and some cotton and corn. The majority of our alfalfa is baled in small square bales and the put in bundles of 21 for ease of handling. We need employees to assist with our crop production season. The main duties will be cutting, raking and loading hay. All of this is done with newer equipment that is cabbed and air conditioned. Other duties will include irrigation monitoring and maintenance. Daily hay loading will be required. Employee will need to be professional and friendly. Complete general farm duties as assigned. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer?s discretion.
Special Requirements
Job requires extensive sitting, repetitive movements, and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony/theft criminal background as required by the workplace safety policy and company HR hiring practices as allowed by law. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license and 3 months experience.
