Job description
Employees will perform general maintenance on farming equipment and will be expected to carry out various electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and welding tasks on farm sites. Employees will be expected to use hand and power tools, as well as operate and perform maintenance on tractors and other farming equipment. Fertilizer application and preventative maintenance of center pivot irrigation systems will be expected of employees. Duties will include mowing, spraying, and pulling weeds, applying manure fertilizer, and carrying out tasks aligned with preventative maintenance of center pivot irrigation systems. Duties may include the construction and repair of livestock buildings, confinements, and shops on farms. Employees must be able to operate small and large tractors. Employees must also be able to withstand working long hours in and around strong fertilizer odors, including manure, and be able to tolerate extreme temperatures.
Special Requirements
General knowledge of tractor operation and maintenance. One (1) month of training provided. Must be able to lift and carry 75lbs/75yds.
