Job description

Eight (8) temporary full-time Ground Person positions available for work beginning April 1, 2024 and continuing through December 1, 2024.

Day shift of forty hours work provided weekly - Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm, at $16.29 per hour, with overtime offered often at $24.44.

No previous training, experience, or education are required, nor is any on-the-job training required, as clear and simple instructions are given onsite by supervising crew leaders.

Ground Person duties include ground-level pruning and trimming and hedging, all at ground level. Ground Person duties also include raking and digging and weeding and planting and watering.

Duties also include chipping and applying protective mulch and fertilizer; also collecting and hauling out debris, and loading/unloading crew vehicles.

Ground Persons observe for any shrub or hedge problems and inform crew leaders. The position is entry-level and non-agricultural. Ground Persons attend a daily Safety Briefing.
