Job description

Collecting soiled laundry from guest rooms and from laundry bins located in hallways. Duties include but are not
limited to operating washers and dryers; sorting soiled laundry; identifying and treating stains; washing, drying
and folding linens and other laundry; sorting clean laundry; and cleaning washers and dryers. Stocking linen
rooms with clean laundry ensuring linen rooms have an adequate number of linens. Physical strength and the
ability to lift up to 30 pounds, as well as stand and move around for the majority of the day. Ability to notice small
stains and imperfections. Ensure the laundry room and equipment always remains clean.

NOTE: REGARDING F.A 5A-H, F.A.6A-B: A TYPICAL WORK WEEK CONSISTS OF 36 HOURS PER WEEK OR MORE (OVERTIME IS POSSIBLE, BUT NOT GUARANTEED). WITH ONE DAY OFF(VARIES). (NOTE THE TOTAL NUMBER OF 42 HOURS PER WEEK INDICATED ABOVE IS MISLEADING, DUE TO ENTRY OF 6 HOURS FOR EACH DAY OF THE WEEK INTO THE FORM, WHICH IS NECESSARY BECAUSE, WITH SHIFTS TYPICALLY LASTING 6 HOURS PER DAY AND VARIATION OF DAY OFF, WORKERS MAY END UP WORKING ANY DAY OF THE WEEK AND THERE IS NO SPECIFIC DAY WHEN A WORKER IS GUARANTEED NOT TO WORK). THIS POSITION IS FOR 36 HOURS PER WEEK (TYPICALLY, SIX 6-HOUR SHIFTS) AS INDICATED IN THE JOB ORDER. WORK MAY BE PERFORMED ON ANY DAY OF THE WEEK FROM MONDAY TO SUNDAY. HOURS OVER 36 AND OVERTIME (OVER 40 HOURS) IS POSSIBLE, BUT NOT GUARANTEED. WORK SCHEDULE CAN VARY AND DOES INCLUDE WEEKEND AND HOLIDAY HOURS.
