Job description

Monitor pool and recreational areas to provide assistance and protection to guests and visitors. Rescue distressed persons, using rescue techniques and equipment. Contact emergency medical personnel in case of serious injury. Warn recreational participants of inclement weather, unsafe areas, or illegal conduct. Inspect recreational equipment for safety hazards and damage or wear. Examine injured persons and administer first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, if necessary, using training and medical supplies and equipment. Maintain proper documentation and reporting as directed. Must be able to swim to perform duties.

Special Requirements

Must speak, read, and write the English language and communicates in a clear and congenial manner, with our guests, visitors, and employees. Must be able to hear verbal instructions, directions, and warnings. Must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, stoop, twist, and flex arms, walk up and down stairs/inclines, sit, climb up/down ladders, or stand for up to 5 hours at a time. Performs repetitive hand and arm movements. Must be able to Lift up to 40 pounds from ground level to waist level and carry up to 35 feet with/ without assistance. Must be able to walk up to 7 miles per day. Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items, must be able to work in small, shared space, must be able to lift up to 50lbs, must be able to work around dogs/pets, must be able to walk/be on your feet for long periods of time, must be able to work with various pool chemicals, must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, outdoor climate, and varied lighting levels.
