Heavy And Tractor-trailer Truck Drivers

Job description

Worker will drive semi tractor-trailer truck to/from specified destinations; maneuver trucks into and out of loading and unloading positions. Worker must possess the ability to read a map, use GPS and successfully navigate to a specific location: complete electronic log-book; regularly climb up and down, on, into and out of tractor and trailers; complete pre-trip and post-trip inspection and paperwork on trucks and trailers. Clean soiled lights, windows and mirrors.

Add oil and engine fuel, as needed.
Must be able to operate a hydraulic lift gate, must be able to push and pull a 50 lb. rolling delivery rack.
May also drive other types of company vehicles.
Workers may assist in handling product weighing up to 60 pounds and lifting to a height of 5 feet.
Products must be handled carefully to prevent damage.
Workers must be able/willing to drive in snow and possible hazardous conditions.
Workers must be able to perform all duties with accuracy and efficiency.

The Employer attests that all workers will be properly trained in the Worker Protections Standard (WPS) by qualified WPS trainers who have completed an EPA-approved Train-the-Trainer course pursuant to the Oregon Department of Agriculture.

Special Requirements

B4e) Must be able to lift and/or load 60lbs continuously.
B4g) Work may take place when temperatures are below freezing and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
B4h) May require extensive pulling and/or pushing.
B4i) May require workers to sit and/or walk for extended periods of time.
B4j) Workers will be required to stoop and/or bend over.
B4k) There will be repetitive movements while performing most of the Truck Driver duties.
