Job description
Row crop farming: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, spray, cultivate, harvest and store crops.
Attach farm implements such as plow, disc and drill to tractor.
Till soil, plant and cultivate grain.
Tow harvesting equipment.
Drive and operate self-propelled combine, swather, baler and rake.
Harvesting, storing and hauling of grain.
Assist with irrigation of crops - center pivot and gravity irrigation.
Maintenance of pivots for irrigation purposes.
Walking fields to remove weeds.
General maintenance of farm equipment, machinery and vehicles - lubrication, oil change and replacing of filters.
Driving farm equipment like tractor, combine, swather, baler and rake.
Crops: Hay, wheat, soybeans, silage, and corn
Special Requirements
Minimum of three months verifiable experience.
No training required.
Workers will perform physical and manual work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, and walking. Movements might be repetitive and some duties might require workers to stoop or bend over frequently. Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools, equipment and items that weigh up to 75 lbs.
Most work is performed outdoors and workers will be exposed to hot and humid conditions.
Workers will be required to obtain drivers license within 30-90 days of hire.
