Agricultural Equipment Operator

Job description

We need a seasonal employee to assist with our crop production season. We grow corn, rice, and sorghum. Employee will need to plant, grow and harvest a variety of grain our season runs February to November. Employee will also need to water rice and must have the ability to walk long period of time. Job duties will include: prepare fields for planting, attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, operate tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, irrigation equipment, operate other farm equipment, engage in planting, weeding, spraying and/or harvesting activities, irrigate soil, using portable pipes or ditch systems, and maintain ditches or pipes and pumps, mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into machinery, attach equipment extensions or accessories, load crops and unload crops, operate equipment to harvest crops, drive farm trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools, inspect, adjust, and complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment harvest agricultural products, operate farming equipment, prepare land for agricultural use, help repair equipment when it breaks down , keep equipment clean and the work aera neat. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.

***Please note for 2025 we will be adjusting our start date to February to cover our entire crop season starting with planting and field prep.

Special Requirements

Job requires exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures, extensive sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. Must have a regular driver's license. Requires 3 months farm experience.
