Job description

Irrigators will be responsible flood irrigation and irrigation system maintenance. Flood irrigation involves moving water through canals and ditches using tractors, shovels and pumps. General maintains of all equipment which involves greasing equipment and check engines fluids daily. Irrigation system maintenance involves spraying ditches to remove weeds and driving backhoes, dump trucks and other equipment to maintain the canals and ditches. Irrigators may be asked from time to time to work in other areas of the ranch which is shorthanded. . Workers are working to directly irrigate farm crops of Alfalfa, and Grains. This location is in a remote area. Workers should have 3 months of previous crop irrigation experience.

Special Requirements

Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. Use of electronic devices during work hours is restricted to emergencies only.
