Job description

Agricultural equipment operators including the following activities. Workers will drive wheeled tractors with other implements and attachments to complete various tasks involved in the process of cultivating, planting and harvesting crops, as well as tasks incidental to this work. Tillage, preparation and planting field crops for hay, forage and sileage; spreading fertilizer and chicken litter on fields; cutting, raking, baling hay and sileage, wrapping hay, moving and stacking finished products for storage and use; cleaning and maintenance of equipment, field and shed sanitation. Equipment used includes tractors, disks, grain drills, brush hogs, skidsteer loaders, front end loaders, hay mowers, mower conditioners, hay rakes, hay balers, bale wrappers, hay trailers, bale forks and spikes, and fertilize spreaders. Hand work and hand tools are required for maintenance and to remove tree limbs, brush and rocks from fields. Employer will provide supervision and necessary tools and equipment. Workers will be instructed in the safety and operation of the equipment as well as general safety; and must have the ability to work and operate equipment safely to protect worker or operator, other workers, products, and the tractors, tools and equipment being used. Failure to obey safety requirements and/or operating instructions may result in termination. Workers may be requested to submit to random drug and/or alcohol testing at no cost to the worker. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination. All testing will occur post-hire and is not part of the interview process.
