Custom Harvester

Job description

Workers must be able to listen, understand, and follow the instructions of company supervisors and managers.
Workers must be willing to perform all duties according to the employer's rules and regulations during the contract period.

Operates self-propelled custom class harvesting machines to harvest a variety of grain and oilseed silage crops such as corn; adjusts the speed of cutters, blowers and conveyors and height of cutting head, using hand tools; changes cutting head as appropriate for crops; drives truck to transport crops to storage area; drives truck to move harvesting machines between worksites; services machinery, and makes in field repairs; driving farm vehicle; minor daily and incidental up keep to equipment and worksites.

Workers will perform a variety of tasks for harvesting using a tractor, such as discing, mowing, floating, cultivating, harvesting.
Workers must have prior experience calibrating the equipment.
Workers will assist in cleaning and organizing the warehouse, shop, and equipment.
Worker needs to know how to calibrate agricultural implements such as chemical spray nozzles, operate backhoes, and perform routine tractor maintenance and basic repairs.
Workers will assist in cleaning warehouses.

Special Requirements

Experience: We require 3 months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed.
This position requires a minimum of 3 months for the employee to get a full understanding of the job and responsibilities.
Be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
Once hired, workers may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the workers.
Testing positive or failure to comply with the drug test may result in immediate termination from employment. Drug testing will be conducted after a job offer is made, and before commencing work at Employer's expense.
