Job description

Farmworkers are needed for seasonal cow/calf operation to plant,cultivate, weed, harvest, and transport 3000 acres of hay and alfalfa crops. Workers will also work the seeding, planting, cultivation and harvesting of chickpeas, durham, lentils and peas. Workers will assist the employer with the livestock by caring for and feeding horses, dogs, cats, pigs, sheep, and cattle. Calving assistance is needed during Feb-June, feeding assistance is needed during fall, winter and spring months. Calving will include feeding, managing, working, vaccinating, doctoring, hauling, livestock, fence repair, welding, maintaining livestock pastures, paddocks, corrals, and working facilities. Workers must have a valid drivers license to transport grain and must possess 3 months of verifiable cattle farming experience.

Special Requirements

Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. Use of electronic devices during work hours is restricted to emergencies only.
