Job description
Operating self-propelled equipment such as harvester, loader, tractor, swather that assists with reaping, harvesting, threshing, swathing, or winnowing crops such as corn, wheat, silage, milo; performing manual or mechanical adjustments to equipment; performing safety checks on equipment; maintaining and repairing equipment and other tools such as greasing, cleaning filters, replacing cutters; driving truck or tractor with trailer or cart for transporting crops, equipment, tools to elevators, silos, storage areas, and from one field to another; attaching equipment using hand tools; weighing containers and recording weights; cleaning work areas. While a CDL is not required for workers that operate or repair machinery, workers that drive truck to transport crops from fields to storage short distances on rural roads may possess a CDL.
