This job requires a minimum of 12 months of verifiable prior experience performing duties in an office environment. Must possess basic computer skills and be bi-lingual (English/Spanish). Non-supervisory Seasonal Shipping Coordinators may demonstrate tasks to others. Designated workers may be responsible for acting as a liaison between the crew and the supervisor to communicate progress of production tasks and communicate progress at the conclusion of each workday.
Worker is responsible for organizing high-quality and on-time shipments for all customers. Performs quality tests on products and reports information to customers. Worker will manage the day to day entry and load list generation for potato shipments; coordinate all shipments to customers by receiving orders, relaying order information to shipping managers, coordinating logistics and posting process orders after shipment; lead the customer quality program by performing the quality control tests on potatoes and monitor quality data from other locations; perform customer interface and assist customers with overall satisfaction and question resolution act as liaison with billing department to ensure all loads are invoiced accurately and in a timely manner; assist in setting up new customer and logistic accounts.
Workers with a clean driving record (no major moving violations such as but not limited to Driving While Intoxicated or Reckless Driving) and possessing or able to obtain an insurable driver's license may drive company vehicles. Workers with appropriate licenses may transport other workers to and from employer-provided housing directly to worksites each day and may transport workers around farms during the workday, may transport crops, supplies, tools and/or equipment/supplies between employer's farm locations, on private or public roads. Workers do not deliver to customers. Workers may drive multi-purpose vehicles that have a capacity of less than 13 tons, require a standard driver's license to operate, and may be used on or off farm by the workers (e.g., drive to the grocery store, bank, etc. at their discretion). Workers are not required or expected to arrange for the routine pick-up of another worker or groups of workers on a regular schedule at other housing locations or centralized pick-up points.
Work is to be done for long periods of time. Workers should be able to work on their feet in bent positions for long periods of time. Allergies to goldenrod, insecticides, herbicides, fungicides or honey bees may affect a worker's ability to perform the job. Workers should be able to do the work required with or without reasonable accommodations. Saturday work required. Must be able to lift/carry 25 lbs. Employer-paid post-hire drug testing is required upon reasonable suspicion of use. Must be willing to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift hours.
Worker must be able to work in a team environment and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Office products; and able to provide general direction to order quality control/entry/data entry employees. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to compare and distinguish shipping and loading data.
