Job description
Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as wheat, corn, milo, rye, hay; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, load crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Attend to live farm animals including cattle such as calving cows and heifers, processing, checking, loading, marketing, weaning, breaking ice; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery.
