Job description

Duties may include: Taking care of livestock and calving season. Operating farm equipment and machinery for removing and using shovels and hand tools to dig holes and fit pipes and posts. Assist with fence maintenance including maintenance of other farm structures, equipment, and buildings. Walk the fields to pull weeds in corn and soybean rows. Plowing cultivating, hauling grain, drive pickup to obtain parts and supplies. Maintain and clean farm lands, and other Farm Worker activities per SOC/OES45-2092 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

Special Requirements

Must be 18 years of age. Worker 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength: exert max. muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 40 lbs.; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equipment, grounds, and area. All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Variable weather conditions may apply. Worker must be able to obtain a valid driver's license in the State of Nebraska within 2 weeks of reporting to work. On-the-job training provided to those who do not have experience.
