Shuttle Driver

Job description

Shuttle driver will pick up workers, take them to worksite, field walk and drive workers back to their housing. They will also assist with simple daily vehicle maintenance checks, timekeeping, filling water jugs with drinking water for the workers each morning, ensuring field sanitation measures are maintained throughout the day, and possibly loading/unloading blueberries. They are required to live in the housing provided by the employer and take workers once a week to cash checks and to the food store. Must have or be able to obtain immediately a farm labor contractor license. Background check and random drug testing will be post-hire at employer's expense.

Any driver employed under this job order must have a valid federal Farm Labor Contractor Certificate of Registration and must abide by all the requirements of the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act (MSPA). The employer understands that they are responsible for assuring that all conditions of this agreement are met regardless of any acts or omissions of the crew leader.

Special Requirements

Workers must adhere to all safety rules as instructed by supervisors and practice safety in all aspects of work. The employer is a drug-free workplace and has a zero tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol in the workplace and in the employer-provided housing. Background check and random drug testing will be conducted post-hire at employer's expense. Drug testing may be done post-accident and for cases with valid reasons for suspicion.
