Job description
This job consists of driving agricultural equipment and/or delivering products to fields in support of the agricultural equipment operator both done on a farm for a farmer.
Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions into agricultural equipment.
Fill tanks with water, chemicals, and fertilizer according to formulas and take the tanks to the farm sites.
Operate machines such as agricultural sprayers or fertilizer spreaders to fertilize and spray crops.
Apply crop nutrient or crop protection products to control insects, fungus, weed growth, and diseases, to assist in the cultivation of agricultural commodities using agricultural equipment. Operate I pad based software to control agricultural equipment.
Spread dry fertilizer using GPS-enabled agricultural equipment. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers.
Manipulate controls, nozzles, hoses, and tubes to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery to direct product over designated areas. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Certified license is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license
within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme
temperatures. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Overtime and
taking holiday is mandatory. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work
with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Employer requires drug screen and criminal background check post hire at employer's expense due to the liability of operating expensive tools and equipment and the presence of children on the farm.
