Job description

Workers must be able to drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds gross vehicle weight. Workers must be able to drive for extended periods and perform duties attendant to driving (such as fueling, following traffic laws, and logging activities). Workers must be able to load, secure, and unload a truck. Workers may perform other tasks and duties under SOC code 53-3032. Related duties may be assigned. Work is performed outdoors in highly varied weather conditions and in commercial motor vehicles. The ability to see details at a distance, focus, react to various driving conditions and circumstances, and otherwise operate the vehicle safely is required. The ability to sit for long periods of time is required. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds is required. Cognitive ability to accomplish the functions above is required. Licensure to drive the above vehicles is required. Commodity: Onions

Special Requirements

Workers must have 60 days verifiable experience performing the job duties under Section A(8)(a). Workers must be able to successfully complete all federal DOT-required preemployment conditions; including but not limited to, a pre-employment drug test, employment verification, DOT physical, driver history check, and road test. Workers must have a commercial drivers license with a doubles/triples endorsement or the equivalent thereof issued by the federal Ministry of Communication and Transportation. Workers must have experience (minimum 30 days) loading, securing, and unloading binned onions or other binned produce. The work schedule under Section A(6) may be subject to change where weather, crops, or business needs demand.
