Job description
Assist with daily farm functions including but not limited to the following: Operate various farm equipment for hay and silage production. Load/unload trucks. Maintain/repair machinery, i.e. change fluids in equipment, rotate tires, wash vehicles, check tire pressure, general maintenance, etc. Ground maintenance on farm and/or housing, i.e. weed eating, mowing. Maintain/clean shop area. Precondition and maintain cattle: Monitor birthing of baby calves, hay all cattle, haul water to cattle, mix feed, monitor health, vaccinate, rotate cattle between pastures. Operate feed truck/pay loader. Clean pens. Maintain fence. Manure hauling. May haul cattle to market. Crops: Grass hay, silage mixtures.
One hour lunch break.
Special Requirements
Valid driver's license, employment reference.
