Job description
Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time.
Shuttle Driver: Duties may vary from time to time. Applicants must be 21 years or older. Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time. Operating a company vehicle during period of employment the driver must possess a valid driver license issued by United States or foreign equivalent license to operate the company vehicle in accordance with license restrictions and vehicle classification applicable to that license. The worker must be able to speak Spanish to effectively communicate with all workers. Shuttle Driver may pick up workers from different housing sites or pick up points back and forth to work, to pick up or drop off workers, or run errands such as but not limited to laundromat trips, grocery shopping, airport trips, governmental agencies trips, medical or dental office trips.
Must abide by precise and strict safety instructions, rules, and policies. Inspect vehicles and check gas, oil, and water levels prior to departure, make minor repairs to vehicle and change tires, load fuel, employer will provide fuel/fuel card, supplies and tools to perform minor repairs. Shuttle driver will maintain cleanliness, of the bus, safely handle passenger emergencies or disruptions. Employer assures that driver will be paid the offered wage rate for actual driving time, including but not limited to trips to fuel vehicle and time spent maintaining the vehicle. Direct and monitor the work of casual and seasonal help during planting and harvesting. Driver may be requested to submit to pre- hire and random drug or alcohol test at employer cost and employer discretion. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination. Any applicant to this position is expected to perform any of the listed duties and work on any crop as assigned by the employer and/or worker's supervisor, is expected that shuttle drivers will perform any other job agricultural activities as the other members on the crew at the time or at supervisor request.
Special Requirements
EB Harvesting may conduct a Drug/Alcohol test or conduct a criminal background post-employment at the employer's expense.
Per employers insurance carrier, 36-month minimum driving equivalent needed.
