Job description

Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as hay, silage, corn; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery such as loader, feed truck, tractor with side dump wagon, dump truck to distribute feed, maintain pasture, clean pens, haul manure; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Attend to live farm animals including cattle by processing, birthing, weaning, feeding, sorting, marketing; Move cattle, rotate cattle on the range; Check health; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures, weed pastures; Attach implements using hand tools; While a CDL is not required for workers that operate or repair machinery, care for cattle, maintain pasture, etc., any worker that drives truck to transport feed from the local storage to the farm may possess a CDL.
