Job description

Crops: Green Beans, Yellow Beans, Red Beet, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbage, Cantaloupe, Carrot, Cauliflower, Celery, Cucumber, Eggplant, Gourds, Herbs, Kale, Kohlrabi, Leek, Melons, Parsley, Parsnip, Peas, Peppers, Pickling Cucumbers, Potato, Radish, Romanesco, Spinach, Swiss Chard, Turnip, Watermelon, Zucchini, Onions, Turf Grass Sod, Squash (Summer and Winter), Sugar Beets, Corn, Soybeans, Great Dry Beans, Black Turtle Beans, Navy Beans, Wheat, Hay, Pumpkins, Sweet Corn, Lettuce, Garden Variety Crops.

Workers will perform any of the following duties: Field Maintenance, Weeding (by hand and with hoe), picking rocks, gardening (weeding and picking crops), tree and brush removal, lawn care, cleaning, demo and cleaning up old barns, repair and maintenance on buildings or equipment, grain drying, spraying crops, bailing hay and straw, stacking hay and straw in barn, livestock cleaning, pens and feeding animals, grain bin maintenance and cleaning, power washing and polishing, irrigation operation and servicing, general painting, fixing drainage tile spreading mulch.

Green House duties include: handle bags of soil, fill trays, move trays, transplant / seed, move / organize product, load product, move tables / benches, clean greenhouses, patch greenhouses, re-cover greenhouses, clean up of greenhouses, clean up of areas around greenhouses, mow grass, weed whip, pull / spray weeds, repairs & maintenance of greenhouses, support daily greenhouse operations.

Special Requirements

Workers must have at least 3 months experience as a farmworker. Applicants must be able to furnish affirmative job references from recent employers operating comparable operations establishing acceptable previous experience. Must be physically able to meet and perform all job specifications stated in job order. Must be able to work in the hot humid weather for extended periods of time. Workers are subject to random drug testing at no cost to the employee. All drug testing will occur after the worker begins his or her employment and is not a part of the interview process. Failing or refusing a drug test will result in immediate termination.
