Job description
Daily job duties may include tilling soil and applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops; applying pesticides; or cleaning, grading, sorting, packing, and loading harvested products. Irrigation activities include acres of watering using different methods to accomplish this task, raising of calves for future sale, livestock stall Spring clean-out, training facilities set up for training of horses and maintenance of various ranching equipment. Attending to live farm, ranch animals that may include cattle, sheep, swine, goats, horses Duties may include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, weighing, catching, and loading animals. Grooming, feeding, and cleaning of these animals takes
considerable man-hours to keep up with our schedule. May maintain records on animals; examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; assist in birth deliveries; and administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate. May clean and maintain animal housing areas. Starting in May we begin calving which continues into June. General animal care includes vaccinations, branding and tagging takes place in July when the calves have grown to a certain size. Crop fertilization, ditch cleaning and fencing repairs must be accomplished before livestock is sent out to various pastures. Training of horses continues throughout Spring, Summer and Fall months with sale of trained horses occurring late Fall. Late Fall also is when our calves are sold at the market.

Patience and consistency are paramount throughout the training process, as horses learn at their own pace and require time to develop the strength and coordination necessary for advanced movements. Positive reinforcement techniques, such as praise and rewards, are used to encourage the horse and reinforce desired behaviors. Ultimately, the goal of training Spanish dancing horses is to create a harmonious partnership between horse and rider, where communication is effortless, and movements are executed with precision and grace.
