Job description

Worker will be required to complete the following activities as instructed by supervisor: plant, spray, apply pheromone, fertilize, water, prune, trim, train, thin, tie and other general care of fruit trees; paint tree trunks; install and remove trellises; remove weeds; paint, repair and maintain farm structures; cut trees or logs; operate forklifts, tractors, vehicles, and other farm equipment during orchard operations incidental to the production and harvest of crops; maintain and clean up farm, field, orchard, and equipment; clean, assemble, maintain and repair harvest containers and pallets; set up, operate, and maintain irrigation equipment; load, unload and haul produce; record harvest information; harvest to quality standards apples, peaches, and cherries; packing activities including pack, clean, sort, and load produce to quality standards, stack, repair and assemble boxes and bins; drive Employer-provided vehicle to and from the worksite and other locations.

Special Requirements

Job requires worker to complete tasks in in general farm labor and harvesting of cherries, peaches, and apples. Employer will provide instructions and training on specific job duties.

Experience Requirement: 3 verifiable months of commercial apple hand harvest experience required. Applicants must furnish job references from employers of the last 3 years establishing acceptable prior experience. Employer reserves right to conduct for cause, non-discriminatory drug testing at Employer expense. Drug test will not be utilized as pre-employment tool.
