Job description

1. Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors,
handtrucks, forklifts, or transfer augers.
2. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions.
3. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery.
4. Weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information.
5. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, and/or tools in accordance with proper safety
standards.
6. Inspect equipment or facilities to determine condition or maintenance needs.
7. Attach equipment extensions or accessories, including trailers.
8. Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what
kind of maintenance is needed.
9. Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
10. Follow supervisor instructions always and arrive to work on time.
11.Ensure potatoes are being correctly distributed in the trailer.
12. Follow instructions to get to and from the fields/growing location.
13.Communicate with field & farm employees in a courteous, professional manner.
14.Participate in safety trainings, orientations and all other company meetings as
required.
15.Report all injuries to supervisor immediately regardless of how slight they might
seem.
16.Perform general farm site cleanup, including but not limited to: shovels, hoes,
potato forks, brooms, leaf blowers, pressure washers.
17.Perform general farm duties as necessary.
18.All tools will be provided at no cost.

Applicants may be offered higher than advertised wage rate due to experience or merit.

Special Requirements

Employees must maintain a drivers license that allows them to operate a vehicle in the United States. Driving farm field trucks over 26,000 pounds will be required. Drivers are not required to have a Class A CDL due to the agricultural exemption according to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act 395.1((k)(1).

Due to the complexity of the weather and harvesting conditions, workers may be requested to work long days, as well as Saturdays,
Sundays, or Federal Holidays, depending on the field conditions, crop yields, customer demands, and weather conditions.
Therefore, hours above 48 hours per week may be offered, but are not guaranteed and are voluntary to be worked by the employee.
