Job description
This job requires an employee to handle a variety of manual labor, including but not limited to tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. Workers must be able to perform manual activities with accuracy and efficiency. Crops grown on the farm include Pasilla Chile, Tomatillo, Squash and Strawberries.
Special Requirements
Performs a variety of manual tasks associated with the cultivating and harvesting of Squash, Pasilla Chille, and production, including but not limited to planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops. Duties include cleaning crops or other items considered waste from the crops (employer abides by 8 Cal. Code Regulations 3456(b-c), harvesting the crops and preparing same for packing and shipping, loading and unloading crops.
Workers will assist in loading/unloading crops or materials weighing up to and including 60 lbs. Workers must be able to lift such weights to a height of five (5) feet over the course of the work day. Workers should be able to work on their feet and or bent over for longer period of time. Allergies to ragweed, goldenrod, insect spray, related chemicals etc. may affect workers' ability to perform the job.
