Job description
Worker will be required to complete the following activities as directed by supervisor: plant, transplant, prune, stake, tie, and other general care of crops; prepare soil and fields for planting; remove weeds; maintain and clean up farm and fields; hoeing; pick up plastic; maintain and repair irrigation; operate tractors, forklifts, or other farm vehicles on and off farm property; Worker may be required to drive farmworkers on the farm and between worksites; harvest to quality standards bell peppers and summer squash.
Pay will be hourly.
Special Requirements
Job requires worker to complete tasks in general farm labor, and hand harvest of bell peppers and summer squash. Employer will provide instructions and training on specific job duties.
3 months of commercial agricultural experience in vegetable required. Applicants must furnish job references from recent employers within the past 3 years establishing acceptable prior experience.
Drug testing done at employers' expense and not utilized as preemployment tool.
