Job description
Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. Manipulate
controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. Adjust, repair, and service farm
machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Attach farm implements such
as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Operate towed
machines such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops.
Apply nutrient. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers. Drive and operate
farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store
grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and
cultivate grain.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30
days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive
walking is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable
experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to
